The use of ghee-based lipids in cosmetic compositions presents technical challenges including poor compatibility with aqueous systems, phase instability, oxidation, and undesirable odor, which limit formulation options and commercial applicability. Disclosed herein are processes and cosmetic compositions that address these challenges by converting A2 ghee into a form suitable for incorporation into aqueous cosmetic systems. In example processes, A2 ghee is liquefied, repeatedly washed with water in a copper vessel through multiple cycles, including up to one hundred repetitions, and separated to remove impurities, thereby producing washed A2 ghee having improved physical characteristics. The washed A2 ghee is subsequently combined with cosmetic additives to form stable cosmetic compositions, including oil-in-water emulsions, surfactant-based compositions, and suspensions. The disclosed enable stable dispersion of washed A2 ghee in cosmetic formulations with improved physical stability and sensory acceptability, providing a technically robust solution for incorporating ghee-derived lipids into topical cosmetic products.
