Mobile electronic device holster

A method of securing a mobile electronic device, comprising:

• inserting the mobile electronic device into a pocket of a device holster, the pocket being formed between first and second opposing panels of a body of the device holster;
• moving a pair of resilient posts of a substantially U-shaped frame from a compressed configuration to an expanded configuration in response to inserting the mobile electronic device, the substantially U-shaped frame being positioned within the pocket between the first and second opposing panels;
• and
• retaining the mobile electronic device within the pocket via engagement between the pair of resilient posts and the mobile electronic device.

A mobile electronic device holster system, comprising:

• a body having a front panel and a rear panel connected at a first end of the body, the front panel and the rear panel defining a pocket therebetween, the pocket extending toward a second end of the body and forming an opening for receiving a mobile electronic device;
• a substantially U-shaped frame positioned within the pocket between the front panel and the rear panel, the substantially U-shaped frame including a base and a pair of resilient posts extending from the base along lateral sides of the body, the pair of resilient posts configured to move between a compressed configuration and an expanded configuration;
• retention tabs arranged at free ends of the pair of resilient posts, the retention tabs configured to engage with the mobile electronic device to retain the mobile electronic device within the pocket;
• and
• a mounting clip arranged on the rear panel to selectively retain the holster system at a desired mounting location.
