Abstract
An organizer is disclosed for use in storing a plurality of fishing leaders. The organizer may include a base having an internal storage space, and a plurality of spools removably received within the internal storage space. Each of the plurality of spools is configured to receive a different one of the plurality of fishing leaders. The organizer also includes a winding location positioned external to the base and configured to removably receive at least one of the plurality of spools.

A spool for storing a fishing leader, comprising:
- a generally cylindrical body having an annular surface;
- at least one flange extending radially outward beyond the annular surface;
- and
- a plurality of gripping features configured to facilitate manual manipulation of the spool.

A spool for storing and dispensing a fishing leader, comprising:
- a cylindrical body configured to nest within a winding location;
- and
- a central magnetic or magnetically attracted button configured to secure the spool to the winding location during winding or unwinding operations.
