System for predicting behavior of a school of fish

Abstract

A system for the purpose of improving a fish catch in a fishery includes a marine data collection unit, a fish species behavior prediction unit, a display control unit, a database management unit, and a user interface unit. The marine data collection unit collects data such as nautical charts, GPS, air temperature, seawater temperature, wind speed, tidal currents, moon age, tide graphs, fish catches, fishing locations, ecology of fish and shellfish, salinity, and rate of change in air temperature due to global warming. The fish species behavior prediction unit predicts the behavior of fish schools using a machine learning algorithm based on these data. The display control unit displays the prediction results in real time on a nautical chart or GPS, and provides a guideline for fishermen to select an optimal fishing ground.
