A communication method applied to a terminal device, wherein the method comprises:

• obtaining first information, wherein the first information is used to indicate one or more of the following:
• a priority of first data is higher than a priority of a measurement gap, a priority of a first channel is higher than the priority of the measurement gap, or a priority of a first resource is higher than the priority of the measurement gap;
• and
• generating a transmission responsive to the measurement gap overlapping with the transmission, wherein the transmission comprises second data.

A communication apparatus comprising a processing unit and a transceiver unit, wherein the processing unit and the transceiver unit are configured to:

• perform operations of a network device, comprising:
• sending first information, wherein the first information indicates one or more of a priority of first data is higher than a priority of a measurement gap, a priority of a first channel is higher than the priority of the measurement gap, or a priority of a first resource is higher than the priority of the measurement gap;
• and
• perform operations of a terminal device, comprising:
• obtaining first information, wherein the first information is used to indicate one or more of the following:
• a priority of first data is higher than a priority of a measurement gap,
• a priority of a first channel is higher than the priority of the measurement gap, or a priority of a first resource is higher than the priority of the measurement gap.
