A wireless communication system, method, and non-transitory computer-readable medium are disclosed for controlling wireless operating parameters using a bounded monotone recognition mapping. At least one non-negative recognition metric associated with a wireless condition is obtained, and a recognition coefficient is computed according to F_cov(r)=r/(r+X), where X is a positive constant. A complementary coefficient may also be used according to X/(r+X). The computed coefficient is applied to control one or more wireless operating parameters associated with transmission, reception, channel estimation, equalization, synchronization, coding, retransmission, power control, beamforming, precoding, combining, scheduling, handover, multi-link selection, routing, interference management, or cross-layer resource allocation. In preferred embodiments, X=phi/pi, where phi=(1+sqrt(5))/2. The disclosed framework provides a unified, reusable, and standards-agnostic control architecture across multiple wireless subsystems.
