Method performed by user equipment and user equipment

A remote user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory, having instructions stored therein,
• wherein the processor is configured by the instructions to cause the remote UE to:
• receive a radio resource control (RRC) Reconfiguration message from a base station, the RRC Reconfiguration message including configuration information for an indirect path, a UE identity of a relay UE, and information on a serving cell of the relay UE, the serving cell being one of cells;
• indicate to upper layers to trigger a PC5 connection establishment with the relay UE indicated by the UE identity;
• and
• initiate a failure information procedure based on determining, in a process of the PCS connection establishment, that the relay UE changes its serving cell to another one of the cells.

A method performed by a remote user equipment (UE), the method comprising:

• receiving a radio resource control (RRC) Reconfiguration message from a base station, the RRC Reconfiguration message including configuration information for an indirect path, a UE identity of a relay UE, and information on a serving cell of the relay UE, the serving cell being one of cells;
• indicating to an upper layer to trigger a PC5 connection establishment with the relay UE indicated by the UE identity;
• and
• initiating a failure information procedure based on determining, in a process of the PC5connection establishment, that the relay UE changes its serving cell to another one of the cells.

A base station comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory, having instructions stored therein;
• wherein
• the processor is configured by the instructions to cause the base station to:
• transmit a radio resource control (RRC) Reconfiguration message to a remote user equipment (UE), the RRC Reconfiguration message including configuration information for an indirect path, a UE identity of a relay UE, and information on a serving cell of the relay UE, the serving cell being one of cells;
• wherein
• the RRC reconfiguration message is a message which cause the remote UE to:
• indicate to an upper layer to trigger a PC5 connection establishment with the relay UE indicated by the UE identity;
• and
• initiate a failure information procedure based on determining, in a process of the PC5 connection establishment, that the relay UE changes its serving cell to another one of the cells.
