Abstract
An electronic device includes at least one network interface configured to place a first device in communication with the electronic device, a power supply input configured to receive electrical power from a power supply, a power supply output configured to provide the electrical power to a second device, and a switch configured to interrupt power to the second device. The electronic device is configured to determine at least one condition or parameter of the second device and to at least one of transmit data concerning the at least one condition to the first device and/or reboot the second device.
Claims20
An electronic device, comprising:
- at least one network interface configured to place a first device in communication with the electronic device;
- a power supply input configured to receive electrical power from a power supply;
- a power supply output configured to provide the electrical power to a second device;
- and
- a switch configured to interrupt power to the second device;
- wherein the electronic device is configured to determine at least one condition or parameter of the second device;
- and
- wherein the electronic device is configured to at least one of transmit data concerning the at least one condition to the first device and/or reboot the second device.
An electronic device, comprising:
- at least one network interface configured to place a first device in communication with the electronic device;
- a power supply input configured to receive electrical power from a power supply;
- a plurality of power supply outputs configured to provide the electrical power to a plurality of second devices;
- and
- a switch configured to interrupt power to at least one of the second devices.
A method, comprising the steps of:
- placing a first device in communication with an electronic device;
- placing a second device in electrical communication with the electronic device so as to enable the second device to receive electrical power via the electronic device;
- with the electronic device, determining at least one condition or parameter of the second device;
- and
- with the electronic device, transmitting data concerning the at least one condition or parameter to the first device and/or rebooting the second device.
An electronic device, comprising:
- at least one network interface configured to place a first device in communication with the electronic device;
- a power supply input configured to receive electrical power from a power supply;
- a power supply output configured to provide the electrical power to a second device;
- a switch configured to interrupt power to the second device;
- and
- at least one battery providing backup power in the event of cessation of electrical power from the power supply.
An apparatus for rebooting an electronic device, comprising:
- a communication interface configured to connect to a cloud management system;
- a data interface configured to connect to the electronic device;
- a first power port configured to receive power from a power source;
- a second power port configured to deliver power to the electronic device;
- and
- a switch configured to connect the first power port to the second power port.
