Abstract
An electrode includes a current collector and an active material layer formed on at least one surface of the current collector. The active material layer includes first engraved patterns spaced apart from each other and extending in a first direction and a second engraved pattern extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction.
Claims20
An electrode comprising:
- a current collector;
- and
- an active material layer on at least one surface of the current collector,
- wherein the active material layer comprises (i) first engraved patterns spaced apart from each other and extending in a first direction and (ii) a second engraved pattern extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

An electrode comprising:
- a current collector;
- and
- a rectangular active material layer on at least one surface of the current collector,
- wherein engraved patterns are formed in the active material layer, with the engraved patterns including engraved patterns formed along facing short side edges of the rectangular active material layer.
1 more element
A rechargeable battery comprising:
- a case;
- an electrode assembly accommodated in the case, the electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a separator, and a negative electrode in a stack;
- and
- an electrolyte impregnated in the electrode assembly,
- wherein at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode includes:
- a current collector;
- and
- an active material layer on at least one surface of the current collector, and
- the active material layer comprises (i)first engraved patterns spaced apart from each other and extending in a first direction and (ii) second engraved patterns extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction.
