Cloud printing services

A method comprising:

• in a cloud print service provisioned on a cloud-computing platform:
• receiving print job information submitted by a user over a communication network, the print job information comprising at least one print file;
• performing a job approval procedure to interact with the user by:
• operating at least one machine-learning model trained to generate a recommendation to modify the print job information in order to improve at least one production variable regarding printing of the at least one print file at one or more print devices;
• providing an approval request to the user indicating the recommendation generated by the at least one machine-learning model to modify the print job information;
• and
• receiving an approval response from the user approving the recommendation generated by the at least one machine-learning model to modify the print job information;
• generating a print job based on the print job information modified according to the recommendation approved by the user;
• and
• providing the print job to a destination corresponding with at least one of the print devices over the communication network.

A non-transitory computer readable medium embodying programmed instructions executed by a processor, wherein the instructions direct the processor to implement a method of handling print jobs, the method comprising:

• in a cloud print service provisioned on a cloud-computing platform:
• receiving print job information submitted by a user over a communication network, the print job information comprising at least one print file;
• performing a job approval procedure to interact with the user by:
• operating at least one machine-learning model trained to generate a recommendation to modify the print job information in order to improve at least one production variable regarding printing of the at least one print file at one or more print devices;
• providing an approval request to the user indicating the recommendation generated by the at least one machine-learning model to modify the print job information;
• and
• receiving an approval response from the user approving the recommendation generated by the at least one machine-learning model to modify the print job information;
• generating a print job based on the print job information modified according to the recommendation approved by the user;
• and
• providing the print job to a destination corresponding with at least one of the print devices over the communication network.
