Optical connection assembly

An optical connection assembly comprising:

• a first optical fiber assembly including a first fiber end face and a plurality of first cores extending from the first fiber end face;
• a second optical fiber assembly including a second fiber end face facing the first fiber end face and a plurality of second cores extending from the second fiber end face and optically coupling to the plurality of first cores;
• a first lens including a first lens rear face facing the first fiber end face and a first lens front face facing away from the first lens rear face, the first lens being disposed between the first fiber end face and the second fiber end face;
• and
• a second lens including a second lens rear face facing the second fiber end face and a second lens front face facing away from the second lens rear face, the second lens being disposed between the first lens front face and the second fiber end face, wherein
• each of the first fiber end face and the first lens rear face is inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the first lens,
• each of the second fiber end face and the second lens rear face is inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the second lens,
• the first lens is a lens in which at least one of the first lens rear face and the first lens front face is a curved face, and
• the second lens is a GRIN lens in which each of the second lens rear face and the second lens front face is a flat face.
