Embodiments relate to a method and system that can quantitatively evaluate the spherical perfection of plasmonic nanoparticles. The system for evaluating spherical perfection of nanoparticles according to an embodiment includes: a light output unit configured to emit light polarized in one direction to the nanoparticles; a spectroscopic unit configured to generate first and second scattering spectra by controlling a polarization direction of light scattered from the nanoparticles into one direction and another direction and measuring the polarization-controlled light; and a processor configured to determine sphericity of the nanoparticles on the basis of values of the first and second scattering spectra corresponding to a peak wavelength of the first scattering spectrum.
