Valve operating system

A valve operating system comprising:

• a rocker arm that is provided so as to extend along a direction orthogonal to an opening/closing direction of an intake/exhaust valve of an engine and converts rotational motion of a camshaft into motion in the opening/closing direction;
• a shaft member having an end portion in an axial direction that pushes the intake/exhaust valve and a central portion in the axial direction connected to an action point side of the rocker arm;
• a magnet that is provided at the other end portion of the shaft member in the axial direction;
• a magnetic member that is provided at a position so as to cover at least a part of the magnet when the intake/exhaust valve is closed, the magnetic member having a coil wound therearound;
• and
• a control device that controls a current corresponding to a rotational speed of the engine to flow through the coil.
