Abstract
A base oil for refrigerating machine oil comprising: a hexaester of dipentaerythritol and a fatty acid; and at least one ester selected from the group consisting of a diester of neopentyl glycol and a fatty acid, and a tetraester of pentaerythritol and a fatty acid containing a fatty acid having 4 to 6 carbon atoms.

A base oil for refrigerating machine oil comprising:
- a hexaester of dipentaerythritol and a fatty acid;
- and
- at least one ester selected from the group consisting of a diester of neopentyl glycol and a fatty acid, and a tetraester of pentaerythritol and a fatty acid containing a fatty acid having 4 to 6 carbon atoms.
