Abstract
A coating material that is used for coating a transfer member included in an image forming apparatus, the coating material including a resin having a urethane structure as a resin component. The coating material does not include a resin containing a fluorine atom and a resin containing a silicon atom, and when a component based on hydrogen bonding and dipole-dipole interaction of surface free energy in a coating film after coating is defined as γSVh and a dispersion component of the surface free energy is defined as γSVd, 0.1≤γSVh≤7 and 0.1≤γSVd≤40 are satisfied.

A coating material that is used for coating a transfer member included in an image forming apparatus, the coating material comprising a resin having a urethane structure as a resin component, wherein
- the coating material does not include a resin containing a fluorine atom and a resin containing a silicon atom, and
- when a component based on hydrogen bonding and dipole-dipole interaction of surface free energy in a coating film after coating is defined as γSVh and a dispersion component of the surface free energy is defined as γSVd, 0.1≤γSVh≤7 and 0.1≤γSVd≤40 are satisfied.
