Abstract
Embodiments of the inventive subject matter are directed to a pinch weld adapter for a vehicle jack. The pinch weld adapter comprises an adapter body with a flat top surface, a pair of semi-circular protrusions extending from the top surface and defining a slot therebetween configured to receive an elongated structural element of a vehicle, and a plurality of tabs extending from the outer edge of the adapter body and configured to engage reciprocal tabs of a jack lifting component. Further embodiments of jack adapters with cylindrical bodies and alignment pins are also contemplated.
Claims19
A pinch weld adapter for a vehicle jack, comprising:
- an adapter body comprising a flat top surface, a bottom surface, and an outer edge;
- a first semi-circular protrusion and a second semi-circular protrusion projecting upwardly from the flat top surface of the adapter body;
- wherein the first semi-circular protrusion and the second semi-circular protrusion are axially centered on the flat top surface and together form a circular shape, the circular shape having a linear slot therethrough to the flat top surface of the adapter body, the linear slot extending across the circular shape and being open at opposite ends thereof;
- and
- a plurality of tabs extending from the outer edge of the adapter body.
A pinch weld adapter for a vehicle jack, comprising:
- a circular adapter body comprising a flat top surface, a bottom surface, and an outer edge;
- a first semi-circular protrusion and a second semi-circular protrusion projecting upwardly from the flat top surface of the circular adapter body, the first and second semi-circular protrusions together defining a linear slot therebetween that extends across the flat top surface and opens at opposite ends thereof;
- a plurality of tabs extending from the outer edge of the circular adapter body, wherein each of the plurality of tabs comprises an outer edge and two protruding edges, the two protruding edges extending radially outward from a center of the flat top surface of the circular adapter body to the outer edge of the tab;
- and
- an intrusion in the bottom surface of the circular adapter body.
