Abstract
The A guillotine system, in particular for an in-flight refueling device, includes a passage through which a pipe is able to pass, a blade movable between a first position, in which the pipe is able to slide freely through the passage, and a second position, in which the blade is able to cut the pipe. The system further includes an actuator of the non-pyrotechnic type configured to contain and/or generate a pressurized fluid released to move the blade from the first position to the second position.
Claims20
A guillotine system, in particular for an in-flight refueling device, comprising:
- a passage configured to have a pipe pass therethrough,
- a blade movable between:
- a first position, in which the pipe slides freely through the passage, and
- a second position, in which the blade is configured to cut the pipe, and
- an actuator configured to move the blade from the first position to the second position,
- wherein said actuator is of the non-pyrotechnic type and is configured to contain and/or generate a pressurized fluid released to move the blade from the first position to the second position, the actuator comprising an accumulator configured to contain a volume of pressurized liquid, the system further comprising a monitoring unit configured to allow a monitoring of a state of the actuator, and the accumulator comprises a first internal cavity configured to contain the pressurized liquid, and a second internal cavity configured to contain pressurized gas and/or an elastic return member, in particular the first internal cavity and the second internal cavity being separated from one another by a membrane, in particular one which is movable and/or deformable.
