Removable grip device for a motor vehicle wheel

A removable grip device for a motor vehicle wheel, the wheel having a rim topped with a tire having a tread, the device comprising:

• a main body to come into contact with a wall of the rim;
• a tread portion to at least partially cover the tread, said tread portion having a grip and a plurality of pads distributed over a length of the tread, at least some of the pads including a holder for holding the removable device on the wheel, the holder comprising a flap capable of adopting a clamping position wherein the flap extends transversely to the pad and forms with the main body and the pad a clamping bridge to clamp the wheel,
• a plurality of arms connected to the main body by a first end and each bearing one of the pads at a second end, each arm being movable in translation on the main body between:
• a first position wherein the pads are movable away from the tread and the or each flap is movable away from the wheel, and
• a second position wherein the pads are contactable with the tread and the or each flap is contactable with the wheel.
