A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharger, a liquid storage, a liquid supplier, and circuitry. The liquid discharger discharges a liquid. The liquid storage stores the liquid to be fed to the liquid discharger. The liquid supplier supplies two or more types of liquids to the liquid storage. The circuitry controls the liquid supplier to supply the two or more types of liquids to the liquid storage in multiple batches within a supply period to store the liquid including the two or more types of liquids at a predetermined mixing ratio in the liquid storage, and changes a number of the multiple batches according to a miscibility of the two or more types of liquids.
