Cleaning Device

A cleaning device for cleaning a nozzle plate that has an ejection surface and a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid formed therein, the cleaning device comprising:

• a cap that is disposed to face the ejection surface, has a recess, and is configured to store the liquid in a space surrounded by the recess and the ejection surface;
• an ultrasonic device that is provided in the cap and transmit ultrasonic waves toward the ejection surface, and has a plurality of ultrasonic vibrators arranged in a first direction;
• and
• a controller that outputs a burst signal to the ultrasonic device and controls the ultrasonic device, wherein
• each ultrasonic vibrator of the plurality of ultrasonic vibrators transmit ultrasonic burst waves when the burst signal is input, and
• the controller acquires a deposition range in which deposits are deposited, sets a target range using the deposition range, and controls the ultrasonic device to focus the ultrasonic waves in the target range.
