Abstract

A liquid discharge system includes a liquid discharge head and a pressurizer. The liquid discharge head includes a nozzle member having a nozzle to discharge a liquid; a liquid chamber member having a liquid chamber communicating with the nozzle and storing the liquid to be supplied to the nozzle; and an actuator to deform the liquid chamber to discharge the liquid in the liquid chamber from the nozzle. The pressurizer applies pressure to the liquid in the liquid chamber to maintain the liquid in the liquid chamber at a positive pressure to perform a pressurizing operation. The liquid discharge head discharges the liquid, in the liquid chamber, maintained at the positive pressure from the nozzle.
