A food composition comprising a lipid phase comprising one or more plant-derived lipids selected from cocoa butter, mango butter, shea butter, cocoa butter equivalents, medium chain triglycerides, and coconut oil. The composition further comprises an antioxidant-rich botanical phase comprising one or more materials selected from cacao-derived materials, pomegranate pomace, carob, and mesquite. The composition further comprises a biotic component comprising one or more of prebiotics, probiotics, postbiotics, and low-glycemic sweeteners. The antioxidant-rich botanical phase and the biotic component are homogeneously dispersed within the lipid phase without microencapsulation. The composition is formulated in a solid and/or non-solid form selected from syrups, gels, pastes, spreads, and direct-to-mouth compositions, and provides antioxidant activity, microbiome modulation, and delivery of bioactive compounds. The composition is configured to provide dual-site functional support along an oral-to-gastrointestinal pathway, modulating the oral microenvironment during oral cavity exposure and supporting gut microbiome composition during gastrointestinal transit.
