Abstract
A backpack can include a left shoulder strap and a right shoulder strap; a front panel; a back panel; vertical side assemblies that support the front panel and the back panel; a horizontal panel disposed between the vertical side assemblies to define an upper compartment and a lower compartment, where the horizontal panel includes a nose portion, a shelf portion, and a top flap coupled to the shelf portion by a hinge; and a sleeve disposed in the lower compartment, where the sleeve includes an upper opening accessible via hinged movement of the top flap of the horizontal panel.

A backpack comprising:
- a left shoulder strap and a right shoulder strap;
- a front panel;
- a back panel;
- vertical side assemblies that support the front panel and the back panel;
- a horizontal panel disposed between the vertical side assemblies to define an upper compartment and a lower compartment, wherein the horizontal panel comprises a nose portion, a shelf portion, and a top flap coupled to the shelf portion by a hinge;
- and
- a sleeve disposed in the lower compartment, wherein the sleeve comprises an upper opening accessible via hinged movement of the top flap of the horizontal panel.
A backpack comprising:
- a left shoulder strap and a right shoulder strap;
- a front panel;
- a back panel;
- vertical side assemblies that support the front panel and the back panel, wherein each of the vertical side assemblies comprises an outwardly facing accessory socket;
- a horizontal panel disposed between the vertical side assemblies to define an upper compartment and a lower compartment;
- and
- an accessory receivable via at least one of the outwardly facing accessory sockets, wherein the accessory comprises a substantially cuboid shape that defines a compartment accessible via a lid of the accessory.
A backpack comprising:
- a left shoulder strap and a right shoulder strap;
- a top panel;
- a front panel;
- a back panel;
- vertical side assemblies that support the top panel, the front panel, and the back panel;
- and
- a horizontal panel disposed between the vertical side assemblies to define an upper compartment and a lower compartment, wherein the horizontal panel comprises a shelf portion and a nose portion, wherein the top panel comprises a top panel movable end that extends to the nose portion for accessing the upper compartment, and wherein the front panel comprises a front panel movable end that extends to the nose portion for accessing the lower compartment, wherein the top panel movable end secures to the nose portion using at least one magnet, and wherein the front panel movable end secures to the nose portion using at least one magnet.
