Abstract

An athletic shoe is described herein that has an outsole and a plurality of studs extending from the outsole. The outsole may include a heel region and a toe region. The plurality of studs may include a set of toe region studs and a set of heel region studs. Each of the plurality of studs may include a base portion, a tip portion distal from the base portion, and a stud body extending between the base portion and the tip portion. The athletic shoe may include a shank that extends from the heel region toward the toe region. The shank may define a distal end that is spaced away from the base portion of studs of the set of toe region studs that are most proximate to the set of heel region studs.
