Abstract
The disclosure concerns an inner duty belt and related system. The inner duty belt has an inner side and an outer side, and includes a waist portion having a first touch fastener coupled to the outer side, an attachment portion having a connecting element configured to engage with the waist portion, and a flexible portion disposed between the waist portion and the attachment portion. The flexible portion is configured to fold upon convergence of the waist and attachment portions. The flexible portion of the inner duty belt allows the inner duty belt to easily increase and decrease in circumference while engaged with an outer duty belt.
Claims18
A duty belt system comprising;
- an inner duty belt comprising a plurality of portions and an inner side and an outer side opposite the inner side, the outer side configured to detachably couple to the interior side of the outer duty belt, wherein each of the plurality of portions includes the inner side and the outer side, the plurality of portions comprising:
- a waist portion having a waist first end and a waist second end,
- an attachment portion configured to removably couple to the waist portion at the waist first end, and
- a flexible portion coupled to the waist portion at the waist second end and the attachment portion, wherein the flexible portion comprises a lower relative stiffness than both the waist portion and the attachment portion;
- and
- an outer duty belt having an interior side and an exterior side opposite the interior side, wherein the interior side of the outer duty belt is configured to couple to the outer side of the inner duty belt, and further wherein the outer duty belt is configured to detachably couple to each of the waist portion and the attachment portion.
An inner duty belt having a plurality of portions comprising an inner side and an outer side opposite the inner side, the plurality of portions comprising:
- a waist portion comprising a waist portion thickness extending outwardly towards both the inner side and the outer side;
- an attachment portion comprising an attachment portion thickness extending outwardly towards both the inner side and the outer side, the attachment portion configured to detachably couple to the waist portion;
- and
- a flexible portion disposed between and coupled to each of the waist portion and the attachment portion, the flexible portion comprising a flexible portion thickness extending outwardly towards both the inner side and the outer side wherein the waist portion thickness and the attachment portion thickness are each greater than the flexible portion thickness;
- wherein the inner side of waist portion and the inner side of the attachment portion each extend outwardly beyond the inner side of the flexible portion.
