Current embodiments include fishing bobbers with directional buoyancy and strike sensitivity indicators, having a trunk with a top section and a bottom section, which is configured for with a plurality of line eyes for engaging a segment of a fishing line and whose structural features include, but are not limited to, the bottom section being heavier than the lighter and more buoyant top section such that in use the heavier bottom section stays submerged below the surface of the water and at least part of the top section is above the surface of the water and visible to an angler prior to a fish strike, with a geometry of such fishing bobber further characterized as an asymmetric, lobulated body with a center of mass laterally offset from a conceptual axis extending centrally through the top and bottom portions of the trunk, the offset thereby creating a cantilever-like pivot point to enhance the directional buoyancy and strike sensitivity indicators and providing an advantage to the angler compared to conventional bobbers characterized by trunks having a round and symmetric geometry.
