A mask plate includes a support layer; a patterned layer including a plurality of hollow structures and located on a side of the support layer; a first protective layer, located on a side of the support layer away from the patterned layer; and a second protective layer, located on a side of the patterned layer away from the support layer.

A mask plate, comprising:
- a support layer;
- a patterned layer, comprising a plurality of hollow structures and located on a side of the support layer;
- a first protective layer, located on a side of the support layer away from the patterned layer;
- and
- a second protective layer, located on a side of the patterned layer away from the support layer.

A method for forming a mask plate, comprising:
- providing a first stack structure, the first stack structure at least comprising a support layer and a to-be-patterned layer;
- disposing a first protective layer on a side of the support layer away from the to-be-patterned layer;
- performing a patterning processing on the to-be-patterned layer to obtain a patterned layer;
- and
- disposing a second protective layer on a side of the patterned layer away from the support layer, wherein the mask plate comprises the first protective layer, the support layer, the patterned layer and the second protective layer, which are stacked one over another.

A method for forming a display panel, comprises:
- providing a mask plate, the mask plate comprising a support layer;
- a patterned layer, comprising a plurality of hollow structures and located on a side of the support layer;
- a first protective layer, located on a side of the support layer away from the patterned layer;
- and a second protective layer, located on a side of the patterned layer away from the support layer;
- attaching the mask plate containing the patterned layer to a first side surface of the display panel, and to a back side and/or a second side surface, adjacent to the first side surface;
- and
- based on the mask plate, forming a patterned film layer on at least one side of the display panel.
