Secondary Battery Electrode Tab Machining Apparatus and Electrode Tab Machining Method Using the Same

An electrode tab machining apparatus for forming a connection portion by incising a predetermined region of an electrode tab of a plurality of electrode tabs extending in one direction of an electrode current collector such that a metal foil can be connected to the electrode tabs, the electrode tab machining apparatus comprising:

• a lower jig configured to be located on a first surface of an electrode tab of the plurality of electrode tabs;
• and
• an upper jig configured to be located on a second surface the electrode tab of the plurality of electrode tabs, wherein
• a pair of lower flat portions is located on an upper surface of the lower jig so as to be spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction and a lower ridge is provided between the pair of lower flat portions,
• a pair of upper flat portions is located on a lower surface of the upper jig so as to be spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction and an upper depression configured to be engaged with the lower ridge is provided between the pair of upper flat portions, and
• when the electrode tab is pressed between the lower jig and the upper jig, a connection portion through which the metal foil can extend is formed in the electrode tab by a pair of incision lines spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance.
