Tensor processing method and apparatus therefor

A method of tensor data processing, the method comprising:

• determining tactic information for processing tensor data;
• partitioning the tensor data into tensor data partitions;
• assigning the tensor data partitions to a plurality of slices having a plurality of compute pipelines;
• and
• processing each of the tensor data partitions through each of the plurality of compute pipelines,
• wherein each compute pipeline comprises i) a process of fetching each tensor data partition, ii) a process of performing an operation on the fetched tensor data partition, and iii) a commit process of delivering a result of the operation to a destination,
• wherein the tactic information includes first information regarding an inter-slice partitioning shape and
• wherein the partitioning of the tensor data is performed based on the first information.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing program codes that, when executed by at least one processor of an apparatus, cause the apparatus to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• determining tactic information for processing tensor data;
• partitioning the tensor data into tensor data partitions;
• assigning the tensor data partitions to a plurality of slices having a plurality of compute pipelines;
• and
• processing each of the tensor data partitions through each of the plurality of compute pipelines,
• wherein each compute pipeline comprises i) a process of fetching each tensor data partition, ii) a process of performing an operation on the fetched tensor data partition, and iii) a commit process of delivering a result of the operation to a destination,
• wherein the tactic information includes first information regarding an inter-slice partitioning shape and
• wherein the partitioning of the tensor data is performed based on the first information.
