An information generation device 10 includes: an analysis unit 11 for generating, from a program, command data including at least a prescribed position of a tool 20 at a prescribed point on a movement path and a relative indexing angle between a workpiece and the tool 20 with respect to the prescribed position; a tool shape acquisition unit 12 for acquiring shape information of one or more components constituting the tool 20; and a data output unit 13 for outputting data for confirmation that includes the relative positions of the tool 20 and the workpiece W on a movement path generated by interpolating the prescribed position on the basis of the command data and the shape information and that includes the indexing angle and the shape information.
