Burner device for an asphalt production plant, plant comprising a burner device of this type, and method for supplying heat to a rotary kiln of a burner device

A burner device for a plant for producing asphalt, the burner device comprising:

• a rotary kiln drivable in rotation about an axis of rotation for drying material;
• and
• a burner coupled to the rotary kiln and configured to supply heat to the rotary kiln, the burner including
• an intake chamber configured to draw in air,
• a fuel gas line coupled to the burner and configured to supply fuel gas, and
• at least one secondary gas line coupled to the burner and configured to supply secondary gas.

A method for supplying heat to a rotary kiln of a burner device in an asphalt plant, the steps comprising:

• supplying fuel gas to a burner via a fuel gas line;
• supplying secondary gas to the burner via a secondary gas line;
• supplying air to the burner;
• and
• burning the fuel gas and the air in the burner in the presence of the secondary gas.
