Abstract
An extensible and retractable barrier. This barrier having a multifunctional, pleated material member which is supported, attached to, and guided by multifunctional rigid members. These rigid members are slidably positioned through elliptically shaped holes in the pleated material. A barrier such as this conserves space, material, and manufacturing requirements relative to barriers of a similar type.

A barrier having multifunctional rigid members which slidably traverse through elliptically shaped holes of a multifunctional pleated member, and removably attach to said pleated member.
A window mounted air conditioning unit air barrier. Said air barrier comprising:
- two elongated, rigid members slidably extending perpendicularly from said air conditioning unit, said rigid members strategically positioned through elliptically shaped holes in pleated material, and said pleated material being removably and slidably attached to said rigid members and said air conditioning unit.
A slidably inserted guidance and stabilization system for pleated material which is does not embrace said pleated material.
