Clothes treating apparatus and controlling method therefor

A clothes treating apparatus comprising:

• a drum;
• a heat exchanger arranged above the drum;
• a compressor configured to supply a refrigerant to the heat exchanger;
• a nozzle device configured to spray water onto the heat exchanger;
• a water supply device configured to supply water to the nozzle device;
• a compressor temperature sensor configured to detect a first temperature of the compressor;
• a control circuit temperature sensor configured to detect a second temperature of a control circuit;
• an air temperature sensor configured to detect a third temperature of air discharged from the drum;
• memory comprising one or more storage media, storing instructions;
• and
• at least one processor communicatively coupled to the drum, the heat exchanger, the compressor, the nozzle device, the compressor temperature sensor, the control circuit temperature sensor, the air temperature sensor and the memory,
• wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the clothes treating apparatus to control the water supply device to allow water to be sprayed onto the heat exchanger through the nozzle device, based on the first temperature of the compressor, the second temperature of the control circuit, or the third temperature of the air discharged from the drum during a drying process.
