A system and method are disclosed for detecting dispensing events and predicting leaks in beverage dispensing devices. At least one computing device, communicably coupled to a data store, receives dispensing-event data and leak data from multiple beverage dispensing devices over a network. The computing device trains a machine-learning model using the dispensing-event data and leak data to identify patterns indicative of dispensing activity and fluid-pathway leaks. The computing device further receives time-series pressure measurements from first and second pressure sensors of a particular beverage dispensing device and applies the trained machine-learning model to the time-series measurements to predict a leak in a fluid pathway. In response to predicting the leak, the computing device performs a remedial action, which can include generating an alert, logging the leak, or disabling dispensing functionality.
