Abstract

A packaging for a large appliance, in particular for a household appliance in form of a dishwasher, washing machine, washer-dryer, refrigerator or oven, includes as packaging components a tray including upwardly protruding flaps, upwardly forming a rim, a bottom cushion arranged in the tray, at least two lateral bracing cushions designed to absorb bracing forces and inserted into the bottom cushion on a right-hand and a left-hand side and contact the large appliance on an inside, a top cushion made at least of an at least partially compressed honeycomb panel and including a plurality of downwardly protruding side flaps and corner flaps, a bracing bar arranged in a transversely extending recess formed in the top cushion, a folding box placed over the large appliance and the packaging components, and a strapping band designed to fix the packaging components to the large appliance.
