Actuation assembly for longitudinal vehicle seat adjustment mechanism

A modular base for a vehicle seat actuation assembly, comprising:

• an overmolded cross-tube including opposing ends;
• and
• a first mounting body formed on or coupled to the overmolded cross-tube;
• wherein the first mounting body includes a first set of recesses;
• and
• wherein the overmolded cross-tube includes an inner metal tube and an outer plastic layer.

An actuation assembly product line, comprising:

• a first actuation assembly including:
• a first modular base including:
• a first cross-tube;
• and
• a first mounting body formed on or coupled to the first cross-tube and including multiple mounting arm interfaces;
• and
• a first grab handle including a mounting arm that is mated with at least one of the multiple mounting arm interfaces;
• and
• a second actuation assembly including:
• a second modular base including:
• a second cross-tube;
• and
• a second mounting body formed on or coupled to the second cross-tube and including multiple mounting arm interfaces;
• and
• a second grab handle including a mounting arm that is mated with at least one of the multiple mounting arm interfaces included in the second mounting body;
• wherein the first grab handle and the second grab handle have varying sizes and/or profiles;
• and
• wherein the first and second modular bases are identical in size and shape.
