Hybrid vehicle and control device

A control device installed in a hybrid vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine, a generator configured to generate electric power by mechanical power from the internal combustion engine, a battery connected to the generator through an electric power line, an external power supply connector configured to supply electric power from the battery to a connected external device and an antenna configured to receive a signal emitted by an electronic key, configured to perform:

• waiting for the antenna to receive the signal from the electronic key while continuing to supply electric power from the battery to the external device through the external power supply connector,
• determining whether or not an authentication of the electronic key is established based on the signal received by the antenna, and
• in response to the authentication of the electronic key being established, starting charging the battery by driving the internal combustion engine to cause the generator to generate electric power, and
• wherein the charging the battery by driving the internal combustion engine is prohibited until the authentication of the electronic key is established.
