A skateboard truck having a pivot device that comprises a housing having a pivot hole and a housing contact surface, a pivot member supported by the pivot hole, a bushing having a periphery and positioned such that the pivot member is external to the bushing periphery, and a hanger supported by the pivot member and having a hanger contact surface in contact with the bushing periphery.
