Coordinated multi-access point transmissions for wlan systems

A method performed by a first wireless access point (AP) for coordinating a multi-access point transmission in a wireless network, the method comprising:

• transmitting at least one indication frame to at least one second AP, the at least one indication frame comprising information related to a transmit opportunity (TXOP);
• receiving at least one response frame from the at least one second AP indicating at least one of a participation or a non-participation in the TXOP;
• transmitting a trigger frame to the at least one second AP that indicated participation in the TXOP, wherein the trigger frame comprises information indicating a respective transmit power limit for the at least one second AP that indicated participation;
• and
• transmitting downlink data to at least one station during the TXOP.

A wireless access point (AP) comprising circuitry including a transmitter, a receiver, a processor, and memory, the AP configured to:

• transmit at least one indication frame to at least one second AP, the at least one indication frame comprising information related to a transmit opportunity (TXOP);
• receive at least one response frame from the at least one second AP indicating at least one of a participation or a non-participation in the TXOP;
• transmit a trigger frame to the at least one second AP that indicated participation in the TXOP, wherein the trigger frame comprises information indicating a respective transmit power limit for the at least one second AP that indicated participation;
• and
• transmit downlink data to at least one station during the TXOP.
