Battery management system structure and battery comprising same

A battery, the battery comprising:

• a battery management system, BMS;
• and
• a battery management system structure, the battery management system structure comprising:
• a housing having a housing interior and a housing exterior, the BMS being positioned within the housing interior;
• a connector shell forming an interior, the connector shell being integrally formed with the housing and being positioned on the housing exterior;
• and
• at least one electrically conductive signal pin each of the at least one electrically conductive signal pins having:
• a first elongated portion being positioned partially within the connector shell interior and extending into the housing interior;
• a second elongated portion positioned within the housing interior;
• and
• a shoulder portion coupling the first elongated portion to the second elongated portion, the shoulder portion arranged with a bend so that the first elongated portion is substantially orthogonal to the second elongated portion.
