Abstract

A shielding element for electromagnetically shielding an electronic component, which shielding element has a low weight, is inexpensive to produce and is of simple construction, it is proposed that the shielding element comprises a main body having a coupling device by which the main body is couplable to a corresponding device, and comprises at least one electrically conductive layer which is provided at least in certain regions on and/or in the main body, wherein the main body and the at least one electrically conductive layer are interconnected, in particular are joined together by means of an injection molding operation, an injection compression molding operation and/or a pressing operation.
