Abstract

A coil component having a coil with a shape capable of increasing overall characteristic L×Isat/DCR of the coil component includes: a coil member having a spiral conductor portion (first spiral conductor portion) having a plurality of turns with a central axis along a first direction, and a lead-out conductor portion (first lead-out portion) extending in a second direction (X1-X2 direction) intersecting the first direction (Z1-Z2 direction) from an outer-side end part of the spiral conductor portion; and a core main body portion that includes magnetic powder and a binder, covers the spiral conductor portion and the lead-out conductor portion, and from which an end surface (first lead-out portion end surface) of the lead-out conductor portion is exposed, wherein two side surfaces (lead-out portion inner-side surface, lead-out portion outer-side surface) along the second direction in the lead-out conductor portion have a non-parallel portion when viewed in the first direction.
