OCT Guided Therapy

A system for predicting progression of a retinal disease of an eye of a subject, the system comprising:

• a communication unit configured to receive optical coherence tomography (OCT) image data of a retina of a subject for each of a series of OCT imaging sessions of the retina;
• at least one processor;
• and
• a tangible storage device storing non-transitory instructions that are executable by the at least one processor to cause the at least one processor to:
• process the OCT image data of the retina to determine a series of measured retinal fluid extent values;
• and
• generate a prediction of progression of the retinal disease via execution of a prediction algorithm using input based on the series of measured retinal fluid extent values.

A system for classifying a retinal disease of an eye of a subject, the system comprising:

• a communication unit configured to receive optical coherence tomography (OCT) image data of a retina of a subject for each of a series of OCT imaging sessions of the retina;
• at least one processor;
• and
• a tangible storage device storing non-transitory instructions that are executable by the at least one processor to cause the at least one processor to:
• process the OCT image data of the retina to determine a series of measured retinal fluid extent values;
• and
• determine a classification of the retinal disease of the eye of the subject via execution of a classification algorithm using input based on the series of measured retinal fluid extent values, wherein the classification is selected from a plurality of predetermined classifications.
