Abstract

A sample capsule for a sampling device, wherein the sample capsule is configured to receive a sample, the sample capsule having a sample capsule body with a sample receiving chamber for receiving the sample. The sample has a receiving space chamber that extends in a longitudinal direction of the sample capsule and a width direction of the sample capsule, and a lid, which is connected to the sample capsule body in such a way that the lid can be moved in the width direction relative to the sample capsule body for opening and closing the sample receiving chamber. Furthermore, a sampling method of using a sampling device with such a sample capsule includes taking a sample by rotating elements of the device.
