Abstract
A printing apparatus includes a transport portion that transports a medium, a printing portion that forms an image on the medium, a cutting portion that has a fixed blade and a movable blade which moves up/down with respect to the fixed blade to cut the medium and that cuts the medium on which the image is formed by the printing portion, a discharge guide surface that receives a cut piece of the medium, which is cut by the cutting portion, and a contact portion that is disposed downstream of the movable blade in a discharge direction of the medium and comes into contact with a surface of the medium on a side close to the fixed blade when the cutting portion cuts the medium.
Claims11
A printing apparatus comprising:
- a transport portion that transports a medium;
- a printing portion that forms an image on the medium;
- a cutting portion that has a fixed blade and a movable blade which moves up/down with respect to the fixed blade to cut the medium and that cuts the medium on which the image is formed by the printing portion;
- a discharge guide surface that receives a cut piece of the medium, which is cut by the cutting portion;
- and
- a contact portion that is disposed downstream of the movable blade in a discharge direction of the medium and comes into contact with a surface of the medium on a side close to the fixed blade when the cutting portion cuts the medium.
