Print system, print apparatus and printing method

A print apparatus for printing an image on a label having a mount and a sticker sheet attached to the mount, the print apparatus comprising:

• a conveying portion configured to convey the label in a conveying direction;
• a print unit configured to print an image on the label;
• and
• a print control unit configured to control the print unit based on a print job, wherein
• a product region is subjected to printing by printing a product image on the label based on the print job,
• an information region is subjected to printing to be aligned with the product region in the conveying direction by printing a character string on the label based on the print job,
• the print job includes product image data indicating the product image, cut data indicating a cut frame indicating a position of a notch formed in the label, and character string data indicating the character string, and
• the print control unit determines whether the character string fits in the cut frame based on the print job, and when the character string does not fit in the cut frame, changes a print form of the character string so as to fit in the cut frame.

A printing method performed by controlling, by a computer, a print apparatus for performing printing on a product region by printing, based on a print job, a product image on a label having a mount and a sticker sheet attached to the mount, and for performing printing on an information region to be aligned with the product region in a conveying direction of the label by printing a character string based on the print job,

• the print job including product image data indicating the product image, cut data indicating a cut frame indicating a position of a notch formed in the label, and character string data indicating the character string, the printing method comprising:
• determining, by the computer, whether the character string fits in the cut frame based on the print job;
• and
• changing, by the computer, a print form of the character string so as to fit in the cut frame when the character string does not fit in the cut frame.
