An electronically actuated droplet delivery device includes a housing having an airflow passage extending from an aperture plate to a mouthpiece and a flow element at an airflow entrance side of the housing. A fluid reservoir is in fluid communication with the aperture plate, which has a plurality of openings, and an electronic actuator vibrates the aperture plate at a frequency to generate an ejected stream of droplets. A sensor in fluid communication with the airflow passage detects an inhalation flow condition and triggers actuation of the aperture plate.
