Deflectable medical devices

A deflectable medical device, comprising:

• an elongate shaft having a distal end region;
• wherein the distal end region defines a first reach distance when bending the distal end region in a first direction prior to having a pre-shaped curve formed therein;
• and
• wherein the distal end region defines a second reach distance greater than the first reach distance when bending the distal end region in the first direction after having the pre-shaped curve formed therein.

A deflectable medical device, comprising:

• an elongate shaft having a distal end region;
• wherein the distal end region defines a first radius of curvature when bending the distal end region in a first direction prior to having a pre-shaped curve formed therein;
• wherein the distal end region defines a second radius of curvature when bending the distal end region in the first direction after having the pre-shaped curve formed therein;
• wherein the distal end region defines a third radius of curvature when bending the distal end region in a second direction different from the first direction after having the pre-shaped curve formed therein;
• wherein the third radius of curvature is smaller than the first radius of curvature, the second radius of curvature, or both the first radius of curvature and the second radius of curvature;
• wherein the distal end region defines a first reach distance when bending the distal end region in the first direction prior to having the pre-shaped curve formed therein;
• and
• wherein the distal end region defines a second reach distance greater than the first reach distance when bending the distal end region in the first direction after having the pre-shaped curve formed therein.
