Doherty power amplifier and electronic device comprising same

An electronic device including a dual stage Doherty power amplifier, the electronic device comprising:

• a plurality of antennas;
• a plurality of filters for the plurality of antennas;
• a plurality of radio frequency (RF) processing circuits for the plurality of antennas;
• and
• a processor,
• wherein each RF processing circuit of the plurality of RF processing circuits includes the dual stage Doherty power amplifier,
• wherein the dual stage Doherty power amplifier includes:
• a drive amplification circuit,
• a Doherty amplification circuit including a carrier amplifier and a peaking amplifier, and
• a network circuit disposed between the drive amplification circuit and the Doherty amplification circuit,
• wherein the network circuit includes:
• an output matching circuit for the drive amplifier circuit,
• a power distribution circuit for distributing an output of the drive amplifier circuit to each of the carrier amplifier and the peaking amplifier,
• a first input matching circuit for the carrier amplifier, and
• a second input matching circuit for the peaking amplifier,
• wherein the power distribution circuit is configured to provide a phase difference of a specified magnitude in a first direction, and
• wherein each of the first input matching circuit and the second input matching circuit is configured to provide a phase difference of the specified magnitude in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
