Abstract
An electret is formed by subjecting an inorganic dielectric body to a charging process. The inorganic dielectric body is composed of a metal compound containing at least one of Al and Mg. The metal compound is a metal oxide or a metal salt selected from an oxide or salt containing Al, an oxide or salt containing Mg, or a composite oxide containing one or both of Al and Mg. A total molar fraction of Al and Mg among all metal elements contained in the metal compound exceeds 50%.

An electret formed by subjecting an inorganic dielectric body to a charging process, wherein
- the inorganic dielectric body is composed of a metal compound containing at least one of Al and Mg,
- the metal compound is a metal oxide or a metal salt selected from an oxide or salt containing Al, an oxide or salt containing Mg, or a composite oxide containing one or both of Al and Mg, and
- a total molar fraction of Al and Mg among all metal elements contained in the metal compound exceeds 50%.
